Marketing Your Products

There are many ways our operators market their products from home. We have people start out part-time and others full time!

Use the Yellow Pages. Send out a sample business card using the companies' information with a form letter showing prices**, other items available, and the service you offer. Keep in mind, most people don't ever need 500 or 1000 cards at a time. You can offer distinctive looking cards, lower prices**, faster service, and no minimum order! Besides business cards, you can offer your customers letterhead, envelopes, announcements for new products, or relocation notices. You can even provide them invitations, napkins, etc., for office parties or special events!!!

Weddings are a great for the Goldmark operator due to the huge assortment needed by the bride and groom. It's fun and easy! Consult your local newspaper, church, or other related sources for engagement announcements. Send the engaged couple a wedding invitation using their names along with a napkin personalized using their name and date, with a form letter congratulating them on their happy announcement and informing them that you can offer them everything they need for their wedding with no minimum orders: Invitations, outer and inner envelopes, matches, napkins, RSVP's, Thank-you's, personalized candy wrappers, personalized mylar balloons and bags, wine labels, wedding programs, etc. are just some of the exciting products you can create at home in any color and offer lower prices** and faster service.  When ordering through a wedding book they must order a minimum and have fewer color and layout choices. Since wedding books are contracted out there is a greater chance for errors and delays. You and the bride-to-be can create the perfect one-of-a-kind invitation and wedding accessories using an infinite selection of fonts, colors, and designs without the limitations of catalog samples or templates. Print each guest's name on invitations, reply cards, and place cards. Offer envelope addressing in the same matching font as the invitation. These services are seldom offered by retail stores, printers or catalogs!

Other ways to promote your business are displaying a business card on a bulletin board explaining what you have to offer. People will notice your colorful, unique card among the others. Tying in with churches offering personalizing on Bibles, ribbon bookmarks, weddings, birth announcements, baptisms, confirmations, Bar/Bat Mitzvah's, etc. Look in the Sunday newspaper under engagements and see how many other ads are advertising invitations. Then insert an ad offering 30-40% off invitations**, listing no minimum, color schemes matched, envelope addressing service and same day delivery available. Consulting the newborn section at the hospitals, obstetricians, hospital gift shops, and newspaper announcements can provide you with potential customers for birth and baptism announcements.

Exhibiting a display of your products in retail stores inside shopping and strip malls! Imagine an attention-getting display including business cards, matches, napkins, pencils, ribbon, invitations and announcements, etc., and the words "Same Day Service Available". Stores like the attention it receives and benefit by investing no money of their own. You benefit by staying home, using their overhead and employees to work for you and offering the store owner a small commission. Many stationery and card stores could use your services to personalize or print their own store items such as napkins, paper stock, pencils, ribbon, envelopes and stationery.

Contacting schools and colleges can provide customer leads for graduation announcements, napkins, and party invitations. Many parents need smaller quantities of graduation invitations and personalized party supplies than large companies can provide. You can offer to do graduations using the school's color and logo at lower prices** with no minimum order. Junior and Senior proms, High School Reunions, yearbook personalizing, ribbons for sporting and academic events are other ideas for marketing your Goldmark personalized products. Use their school colors and logo and your services will be a hit!! Elementary school teachers like ordering personalized pencils as prizes or holiday gifts for their students. But ordering small quantities can be difficult. You can imprint pencils correctly for left or right handed students quickly and easily in any quantity, all without leaving your home!!!

Contacting printers is another good source. Your local printers have wedding books and catalogs in their stores and contract out this work. You can offer them your services. Your local printers don't do small quantities of business cards, napkins, etc. Any small or rush orders they receive can potentially be subcontracted out to you. The printer can earn a small commission while still satisfying their customer while you are at home, on your own schedule, having fun and building up your business at the same time!

Working with Hotels and Country Clubs can become another good source of customers. Contact the catering or banquet department. These personnel assist clients daily in planning parties and events and can suggest your name to their clients as a provider of imprintables, party supplies and invitations. How many hotels are offering this service?

Going to flea markets, scrapbooking or cropping events, and arts & craft fairs? Bring your samples and displays of your merchandise for the public to view and take orders. Hang a sign advertising "Personalized While You Wait". Personalize names or initials on wallets, checkbooks, eyeglasses cases. Charge** $4.00-$5.00 dollars per item and invest only pennies!!!

More?  Working with florists offering them personalized ribbon for their flowers, besides everything else, gift wrapping locations, business announcements out of the paper announcing new locations or services and offering them small quantities. Bridal shops, boutiques, photographers, bakeries, catering companies, DJ's, beauty salons, wedding consultants, party planners, balloon companies, the list goes on and on. Use your imagination!! Try a little of everything and you will find your own niche!

Make money while staying home, being your own boss, and being creative! Grow your business as big or as small as you want! Begin with family, friends, co-workers and neighbors. Marketing ideas are limitless!!

"The Goldmark Associates are always friendly and helpful. We've been in business for a year and they still field any question with the same enthusiasm as when we had just purchased the system".

"We have shown the business cards to people and the first thing they notice is the good quality of the cards. The invitations are of good quality too. We are marketing through flyers and word of mouth and it is working. We have orders waiting to be done. We are also advertising in local publications. We have enjoyed doing this work and working with Goldmark Industries".
